Large Bore, 9.5 Inch Bell, Off-Set Valves, D Slide Included.Yamaha Professional model bass trombones have been created in cooperation with some of the world's greatest musicians. They play evenly and comfortably in all registers, and feature a warm yet commanding tone. The intonation and playability are superb for a truly 'state-of-the-art' bass trombone. The YBL-620G features a dark rich tone with powerful projection. The outer slide is nickel-silver for durability and the valves are in an offset configuration.
Features
Gold brass bell – 9 1/2" diameter
Offers a warm sound with superior focus when compared to larger bells.
Double trigger
Thumb and forefinger setup is durable and identical to higher priced models.
Bracing
The large, easy-to-hold, nickel-silver bracing guards against possible slide damage if the instrument is dropped and also lessens fatigue while playing.
Slide lock
The unique slide lock design on all Yamaha trombones keeps the slide locked in place and keeps it from accidentally falling.
Inner slide
The chrome-plated inner slide is very durable and has a quick, sensitive response.
Outer slide
The one-piece, drawn, nickel-silver outer slide maintains an accurate diameter throughout its length, and this type of construction ensures airtightness, smooth action, and offers exceptional durability and improved response.
Inner slide stockings
Specially designed, one-piece, inner slide stockings guarantee airtight slide construction, and offer smoother slide action and better alignment, even in the extended 6th and 7th positions.
Tubular braces
Long-lasting nickel-silver tubular braces contribute to the stability of the slide and enhance smooth slide action.
Pressure formed tubing
Perfectly rounded tubing results in less turbulence and a smoother air flow, thus allowing for an excellent scale and reduced resistance.
Laser-fused pluzuma welded bell
A high-energy laser fuses the brass together for a virtually seamless bell which allows continuous even vibrations.
Special mouthpipe
Yamaha trombones have mouthpipes featuring special acoustic designs allowing for precise intonation and greater blowing control.
Hand-lapped valves and tuning slides
Hand-lapping slides ensures an absolutely perfect fit and seal between the slide parts. Such a perfect fit helps to achieve smooth air flow and smooth action and improve the response and intonation of the instrument.
Rotary valves
The YBL-620G has two hand-lapped large rotary valves to ensure less resistance and quicker response in the "F" section.
