Sound Install Service

Hotwires was originally founded in 1988 by Richard Eason as an Installation and Pro-Audio Sales Business.

Within ten years the business had developed to be a market leader in the pro-audio industry, completing some of the most prestigious installations in the north and beyond.

David Wood came to own Hotwires through an acquisition deal with its founder Richard Eason in June 1998.

Today, Hotwires offers the supply and installation of public address equipment to customers in the South Lakes and North Lancashire who operate bars, clubs, hotels, restaurants, theatres, schools, colleges, universities, churches, crematoriums, retail, visitor attractions, offices and boardrooms.

They install everything from background music systems to full PA systems and everyone at Hotwires is totally committed to ensuring that their customers receive the best possible service they can provide. Their Sales, Technical, Installation and Service Departments are available to give you advice when required.

Due to demand, they only install systems within a thirty mile radius of Morecambe (South Lakes and North Lancashire) so they can offer an exceptional after sales service. They no longer consider installations that take their installers the length and breadth of the country or installations that will take weeks to install.

With Promenade Music’s increased range of stock giving customers a wider choice of equipment, new customers are assured that their installation will have the best products, fitted by experienced engineers all at the most competitive price.

After installation they will help a member of your staff on the system provided. Please do not hesitate to ask questions, however trivial you may think they may be. If a problem develops please telephone them in the first instance. Often, “faulty” equipment is returned that is not faulty at all – the problem is merely one of “pilot error” or failure to understand the operation of the equipment. This can normally be dealt with over the telephone.

The usual life span and performance of certain types of pro-audio equipment can be extended by adhering to a reasonable preventative maintenance program. Please ask the engineer when installing your system or telephone for advice.

All the manufacturers they represent offer a statutory warranty and they actively support them. Warranties do not cover misuse, abuse or accidental damage. Whilst the systems they design are protected where possible, it is impossible to make a system “bullet proof”. For the period of the warranties and in the event of a failure, they would visit the site and either repair any damaged equipment on site or remove it for repair. In this case the system would be patched temporarily or made good with loan equipment whilst repairs are carried out. Inevitably, some equipment will have to be returned for attention.

Over the past thirty years they have undertaken a whole range of installation work from a wide range of clients. As well as working for many privately owned businesses they have also worked for education, council and other government bodies, as well as many leading PLC’s.
