The  'Yorke  Mini  Bass  Kit'  was  jointly  developed by  the  Yorke  Trust  and  Stentor  Music  Company Ltd. It is designed to enable children as young as six to learn to play the double bass. This initiative has  transformed  the  teaching  of  the  Double  Bass and encouraged many more players. The  kit  is  to  the  specification  of  the  Yorke  Trust and  includes  everything  the  aspiring  young  bass player will need. The 'Yorke Mini Bass Project' is an international endeavour to improve the tuition of bass playing in schools

The kit comprises the following items:

• 'Andreas Zeller' double bass, made in Romania to Stentor specifications, with hand carved solid spruce table, laminated maple back and sides, solid maple neck, ebony fingerboard and tailpiece, brass machines and amber gold varnish. The instrument has correctly fitted bridge, nut and sound post, adjusted in our Reigate workshop
• Padded cover with twin zips opening to the neck
• French model bow weighing approximately 100g
• High quality branded strings with flexible core
• Wooden stool, adjusts between 19" - 23"  
• Fine quality bass rosin
• Endpin location board Yorke Edition book - 'Bass is Best'
• Carrying Strap
