The Xylophone possesses wooden bars which are struck with mallets to create their distinctive, percussive tone. This beautiful instrument finds its routes in the 9th Century in Southeast Asia. Xylophones are available as small and diatonic, which are suitable for educational purposes, and as a large chromatic instrument, which is used for orchestral and other professional performance purposes.
