Ideal Jazz Guitar.

The Guild guitar dater has the X150 1997-99 models as going up to AK150004 - so we presume this was made between '99 and before the factory closed down when Fender moved it to Corona in 2001.

Guild guitars are "made to be played" - somehow never quite reaching the popularity or kudos that Fender and Gibson enjoy, despite being played by the likes of Eric Clapton, Brian May, Tim Buckley, Nick Drake, Jerry Garcia, Roy Buchanan, John Renbourn, Brian Adams, Zal Yanovsky (Lovin' Spoonful), David Gilmore, Tom Petty, Mark Knopfler and many others.

Guild began making their guitars in Hoboken, New Jersey, but their success lead them to move their premises to Westerly, Rhode Island in 1966. They stayed there until 2001, a few years after Fender bought the brand (which they've recently sold to Cordoba Music). Westerly Guild's have a great reputation amongst Guild fans.
