Kawai PR1

Is An Acoustic Recording System

Imagine the Possibilities

You''ve never seen anything like the Kawai PR-1... a complete system that allows you to mic and record any acoustic piano, or connect to any external sound system! Special microphones are the secret to the PR-1. These unique mics attach to any grand or upright piano and then connect directly to the PR-1 control module. With the built-in CD recorder you can make CD recordings directly from your acoustic piano.

Features

Easily record your piano performance to CD

The Kawai PR-1 serves double duty as an easy-to-use miking system to connect an acoustic piano to any sound system. There''s no need to purchase expensive and complicated sound equipment.

PR-1 dedicated microphones

Simply use the output jacks on the back of the PR-1 to send your piano''s sound to any sound system, recording console or home theater system. The built-in reverb can even make you sound as if you''re playing in a concert hall.

Connect to professional sound systems

The PR-1 provides not only normal Line outputs but also professional balanced outputs (XLR jacks) for connections to professional recording consoles and sound systems. You can even connect the PR-1 to a home theatre system.

PR-1 dedicated microphones

The input jacks allow you to record an incoming audio signal to CD. This further expands your CD possibilities by allowing you to record vocals and other instruments along with your acoustic piano. And to top it off, the PR-1 can detach from the microphones to become a portable CD player capable of playing any commercially released CD!

PR-1 CD

Practice the piano along with a CD that''s playing on with the PR-1

You can record yourself playing one part of a duet, and then enjoy playing along with your own recorded performance. You can also play back "minus-one" CDs and enjoy performing with a variety of bands and orchestras.

From the connection to the recording ... it''s so easy

This video shows how quick and easy it is to connect the PR-1 to a grand piano. You will also see explanations regarding the recording setup. Press the start-button to playback the video.

You need the Real Player for playback.
The Real Player adjusts the quality of playback according to your internet connection speed. So a ISDN or DSL connection offers a better quality than a modem connection.
