Drum Amplification

Electric drum kits don't come with their own speakers, so in buying one you have three main options in terms of sound output. The first is headphones, which is perfect (especially in the eyes, or rather ears, of your neighbours) for home practice. The second is via a PA, which is a must for live usage. The third, however, is to use a specialised electric drum amp. The bonus with using such an amp is that they are designed to handle the crack of a highly tuned snare to the pounding subbass of even the most furious double kick player, bringing out a great sound with no clipping, even up to very high volumes. Such amps are often used live, in conjunction with a PA, as a monitoring system. We currently stock drum amps from Rolan and Alesis.
