The season normally consists of four concerts, one each in October, November, February and April. The main venue is St Peter's Church, Church Street, Burnley with one of the four concerts being held at Christ Church, Carr Road, Nelson.
Burnley International Rock and Blues Festival
Every year Burnley hosts the two-day Burnley International Rock and Blues Festival, which started as the Burnley National Blues Festival in 1988. The renamed festival moved from Easter to the early May Bank Holiday and is now one of the largest blues festivals in the country, drawing fans from all over Britain and beyond to venues spread across the town. In the 1970s the town was also an important venue for northern soul and several local pubs still hold regular Northern soul nights.
