Yamaha B Series Upright Pianos
The Yamaha B series is Yamaha's most affordable piano and exceptional value for money and is available in a range of cabinet styles (modern and traditional) and six finishes to suit all tastes. Yamaha use a V process frame for added strength, stability and sound quality and four solid, bonded, back posts which add strength and body to the tone. The keyboard is made from selected solid spruce and finished to a high standard and the key action offers effortless playing and great response. A maple bridge ensures optimum stability of tone. There's a built in celeste pedal for muted practice. There's a silent version also available at extra cost.

Yamaha P Series Upright Pianos
The Yamaha P Series design is based on the world renowned Yamaha U1 piano (P121NT only) and manufactured here in the UK under Yamaha’s unique and strict quality control. There's a good range of cabinet styles and finishes in various heights and the elegantly designed casework suits European tastes. Yamaha use a V process frame for added strength, stability and sound quality and a smooth and responsive key action that offers a light and quick response. European spruce is used for the soundboard for durability and a superbly rich tone. Even the pedals are elegantly styled for smooth and effortless operation and a celeste pedal comes as standard for muted practice. Front and rear castors are fitted for ease of mobility (except P114M).

Yamaha PX Series Upright Pianos
The Yamaha PX series pianos are designed in Europe for European tastes. The casework design features beautiful flowing lines, a one-piece fall and top board and the thicker casework adds to the depth and character of these superior sounding uprights. Manufactured in the UK under Yamaha’s strict quality control, the PX series feature the same hammers which are in the U1 offering longevity and add to the clarity of the sound. U1 bass strings are used giving greater depth and warmth to the tone and the U1 scale gives more precision to each note. Five solid back posts and V process frame add strength and stability and a one-piece fall and top board enhance the elegant flowing lines. A celeste pedal for muted practice is standard and solid brass front and rear double castors ensure ease of mobility.

The Yamaha Radius uprights are designed at the 'Yamaha Design Studio' in London and is a unique contemporary casework design, crafted by hand. A premium-grade Bavarian spruce soundboard is utilised for a strong, consistent tone. Five back posts ensure optimum sound projection and a V process frame adds strength, stability and sound quality. Manufactured in the UK under Yamaha’s strict quality control using U1 hammers for longevity and clarity of the sound. The Radius is available in Black Polyester or new Wenge natural wood finishes. If required, chrome pedals and fittings compliment the contemporary design or as an option you can have traditional brass pedals and fittings (black polyester model only). The Yamaha Silent Upright Piano Range

Yamaha silent pianos basically allows the pianist to 'turn off' the acoustic sound. Their silent piano technology offers customers the chance to own a standard upright piano but with the facility of been able to make it a digital piano by depressing the centre pedal allowing the pianist to keep the same touch of the upright but hear a digitally produced piano sound (like on a digital piano) through headphones. Using a 30 MB of wave memory, players can hear a superb digital sample of a Yamaha CFIIIS concert grand piano. In all there are 10 sounds, including strings and organ.
Optical Fibre sensors follow key and pedal movement for accurate playback and the built in volume and reverb controls allow adjustment. The discreet control box has two headphone sockets for teaching and duets and allows the pianist to practice at any time inspiring confidence without the concern of others listening. There's 50 built-in demo songs (songbook not included) and MIDI In/Out so you can hook up to the computer and even a USB connection for easy transfer of recorded data. A single track record facility allows you to record your performance. (Please Note: Sostenuto pedal functions in silent mode on U3, YUS3 and SU7). The Yamaha Silent Disklavier Upright Piano Range

Yamaha silent disklavier pianos allow the pianist either to play acoustically (normally), with the silent facility (like a digital piano by depressing the centre pedal) and with the disklavier feature. The Mark III Disklavier system features built-in digital technology that makes the piano versatile for many uses. You can reproduce live acoustic piano concerts with backing instruments and vocals, make recordings and here them back. There's an interference-free optical key and pedal sensors for accuracy and the compact control unit has a built in CD and floppy drive. There's abundant memory and programming features and an XG instrumental tone generator with vast number of tones and drum kits. A direct computer interface for downloading software from the internet is built in along with both MIDI and AUX connections. A built-in speaker connection for amplification and playback (speakers sold separately) is also built in. A large selection of pre-recorded (PianoSoft) disks are available at www.yamahamusicsoft.com and the pianos come supplied with remote control, PianoSoft sample disk, blank 3.5” HD floppy disk, stereo headphones and audio cable.
