I'm sure everyone can remember the story that hit the headlines a few weeks ago about the removal firm, based down south, who dropped the £45,000 Bösendorfer piano. Well, a couple of weeks ago we sold one of our beautifully fully restored Bechstein Grand pianos that today would cost in excess of £40,000 to replace [with a new equivalent model] and guess what, the cusomer wanted our removal team (Eric & Bill) to crane it through a first floor window over looking lake Windermere.

Interestingly the company mentioned above that hit the headlines (G&R Removals) are an absolutely brilliant piano removal firm who move pianos for us when we sell out of the area. They moved pianos for us for over fifteen years with no problems at all. In fact, they moved twenty three Grands and twenty one uprights for us in the first quater of 2007 without one single problem so I suppose when you're a company moving in excess of 300 pianos per week (that's right, per week) I suppose you'll eventually have an accident. They're only human after all said and done.
