Job Vacancy at Promenade Music

Promenade Music are looking for a new sales person to work in our Morecambe based musical instrument shop to sell sheet music, accessories and musical instruments. The vacancy is full-time hours, working 5 days per week (including Saturday). The hours are Monday & Wednesday 10.00am - 6.30pm; Tuesday & Thursday 11.30am - 8.00pm and Saturday 9.00am - 5.30pm

What kind of duties does the job include?
- Helping customers with the purchase of printed sheet music
- Helping customers with the purchase of accessories (such as strings, reeds, metronomes, cables, etc)
- Helping customers with the purchase of instruments (such as violins, accordions, guitars, keyboards, brass, woodwind, etc)
- Learning specification information of products.
- Unpacking, assembling, displaying and pricing stock.
- Stocking in, invoicing out, entering stock on to our website and other related administrative and computer duties.
- Handling and processing cash and card payments.
- Keeping the shop tidy and clean which includes hoovering, dusting and other general duties.
- Keeping up to date with new products from manufacturers.

We are looking for someone with:
- A friendly, confident and engaging personality and have a smart appearance.
- The ability to demonstrate a variety of instruments.
- Good interpersonal communication skills both face to face and on the telephone.
- Enthusiasm, dedication and punctuality.
- Experience or training in retail (would be an advantage).

The successful applicant will start on a three month probationary period.
The salary is negotiable depending on experience.
