Yamaha B3 Upright Piano In Polished White (B3EPW)

In my opinion, a new Yamaha is better than a 1970’s or 1980’s Yamaha U1. Made in Yamaha's Indonesia factory, the B3 is based directly on the current Japanese made U1 upright but with a three piece laminated spruce soundboard in stead of a solid soundboard in the U1. It has a wonderful Yamaha action and better than a 1970 or 1980’s U1 in my opinion because of the supereior design, not found in earlier U1's. It is more similar to the current U1 than a mid 1990's model.

For the more serious pianist, b3 is the perfect combination of performance and affordability.
