Effects pedals from EarthQuaker Devices are now available at Promenade Music. In the last 10 years or so, effects pedals have entered a new era, players have become more adventurous, and pedal makers are making pedals that go beyond the traditional sounds first created in the 60s and 70s. So, there may be an envelope filter, but it might sound more like a synth! Or it could be a reverb or a delay, but it might have multiple varieties combining digital and analogue tones to create something else. These are pedals for adventurous players. Many of these pedals are great for bass and synths as well as guitars. Oh, and they look really cool too.

EarthQuaker Devices was founded in 2004 by musician Jamie Stillman (the Party of Helicopters, Relaxer, Fringe Candidate, Teeth of the Hydra, Drummer, Harriet the Spy, “New” Terror Class). By that point Stillman already had over 10 years experience making pedals on a more casual basis.
