Rickenbacker and Danelectro Electric Guitar 12-String Guitars in Stock

What have the Beatles, the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Led Zeppelin, REM, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, the Smiths, the Searchers, the Monkees, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Thee Oh Sees, the Arctic Monkeys, Slowdive, Sudden Death of Stars, Tim Buckley and the Long Ryders all got in common?

They all utilised 12-String electric guitars. From the classic jangle and chime of the mid-60s folk-rock to psychedelic sounds, shoegaze and garage-rock, the electric 12 has been a feature.

Due to it’s natural chorus-like sound and it’s ability to add rich textures to recordings, it’s long-since been a popular addition to many a guitarist’s arsenal.

Despite Fender making the iconic “hockey stick” 12-string (as used by the Who’s Pete Townsend), they are currently not making and electric 12 at time of writing.

The classic USA-made Rickenbackers are perhaps the #1 electric 12-string of choice and we have 2 in stock at the moment:

– RICKENBACKER 330/12 12-STRING SEMI-HOLLOW BODY ELECTRIC GUITAR IN FIREGLO WITH HARDCASE (5033012FG)
– RICKENBACKER 330/12 12-STRING SEMI-HOLLOW BODY ELECTRIC GUITAR IN MAPLEGLO WITH HARDCASE (5033012MG)

However, unfortunately, they are not cheap! For those wanting a more affordable alternative, we’re pleased to say we have Danelectro’s excellent DC59 12-string in stock in 2 colour options:

– DANELECTRO DC59BLK-12 ’59 12-STRING ELECTRIC GUITAR IN BLACK
– DANELECTRO DC59RD-12 ’59 12-STRING ELECTRIC GUITAR IN RED
