Bolton Music Service provides high quality music services for schools, teachers, young people and their families. Over 40 large and small ensembles exist, covering almost all instruments, age ranges and abilities.
Peripatetic instrumental tuition is available for brass, woodwind, string, vocal, guitar, percussion and Piano/keyboard in most of Bolton's Schools, as well as curriculum support materials, advice and resources for teachers in Early Years, Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. There are also a range of workshops available, provided by expert teachers which can be bought in by schools on a one-off or regular basis, and additional support available for satellite music centres and groups.

Hoover Brass Band
One of the longest running brass bands in the world. The Hoover Brass Band is proud of its heritage but is also looking to the future with enthusiasm to keep its legacy going.

Eagley Brass Band
The Eagley Band are a brass band based in Bolton and rehearse at the Last Drop Village. The band regularly competes in the local area and further afield.

Bolton Youth Brass Band
BYBB is the top brass band in Bolton Music Service and is conducted by Helen Minshall. The other brass bands include:

There are over 50 members, and must be a minimum of grade 5 standard.  Rehearsals are held each week (except for school holidays) at Bolton Music Centre,new membership is given by audition.

Millennium Chapel Gospel Choir
Formed in 2004 to reach out to the Christian Community, The Millennium Chapel Gospel Choir give concerts all over the Bolton area and even further afield.

Bolton Festival Choir
The Bolton Festival Choir was established in 1994, with the aim of offering local singers the opportunity to perform works that they were unlikely to sing with their own choirs, and to learn music in a relatively short time.

Bolton Community Choir
An a cappella (voice only), multi harmony, inclusive community choir which actively encourages membership from school children aged 7years and upward
