The Academy series 3.3 octave marimba has Padouk note bars. The instrument features a ‘Transverse Resonator System’ that enhances the tonal performance experience while still allowing the instrument to have the maximum height adjustment for a young player. The resonators detach from the aluminum rail system, allowing it to be easily transported or stored. The extended 3.3 octave range of the instrument goes down to A2, allowing access to a majority of pieces written for the beginner.
