Welcome to Double Basses … 3/4 size . 1/2 size . 1/4 size . 1/8 size . 1/16 size …4/4 size …The 3/4 is recognized as the ‘regular’ size for adults (not 4/4).  As a guide (‘guide’ because we’re all built differently)  consider 3/4 size for players who are over 5′ 5″ like the average 14+ year old . 1/2 size for players between 4’10 and 5′ 5″  like the average 11 to 14 year old . 1/4 size for players between 4′ 5″ and 4′ 10″ like the average 8 to 11 year old . 1/8 size for players under 4′ 5″ like the avaerage 7 to 8 year old . 1/16 size for very young players under 7 years old … We also sell electric and silent basses and bass guitars … Call 01524 410202 or email [email protected] for more information … Back to Orchestral Stringed Instruments.
