ADAMS TIMPANI RANGE includes: universal fibre – universal smooth copper – universal hammered copper – revolution fibre – revolution smooth copper – revolution hammered copper – pro gen 2 fibre – pro gen 2 smooth copper – pro gen 2 hammered copper – professional gen 2 hammered cambered copper. YAMAHA TIMPANI RANGE includes: tp3300 aluminium – tp4300r aluminium – tp6300r smooth copper – tp7300r hammered copper – tp8300r hammered cambered copper – SETUPS: 2 timpani setups are usually a 26″ and 29″. 3 timpani setups can be a 23″, 26″ and 29″ configuration or a 26″, 29″ and 32″. 4 timpani setups are usually a 23″, 26″, 29″ and 32″. 5 Timpani Setups are 20″ 23″, 26″, 29″ and 32″. MATERIALS: Smooth Copper offers a rich tone. Hammered Copper offers a warmer darker tone and improvement of resonance and sustain over smooth copper. Fibreglass has a narrower pitch response and shorter sustain but is lighter weight than copper and less expensive to manufacture making it popular in education.
