We’ve got a secondhand Nile Rodgers signature “Hitmaker” Strat in stock, and it’s an absolute beauty!
Nile Rodgers of course is well-known for his work with Chic, where he developed his “chucking” style of rhythm playing. Then, he sprinkled his magic and stone-cold classics as a producer of Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, Carly Simon, Duran Duran, INXS, Peter Gabriel and many more.
Although he never stopped working, interest and appreciation for his work hit a new level in 2013 due to appearing on Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories” and in particular, the single “Get Lucky” that had his distinctive style all over it.

Many big name guitarists are lead guitarists whose worth is measured by how technically agile they can move up and down the fretboard. But there’s a lot to be said for a player that can be in the pocket, that can establish a groove, and in Nile’s case, be so damn funky!
This signature Fender Strat was a long time in development, with Nile making sure it was exactly as it should be before it was released.
Some features include:
- Slim Alder body with unique contours
- Olympic White lacquer finish
- Custom headstock logo and Hitmaker neck plate
- Custom Nile Rodgers Hitmaker Single-Coil Strat Pickups
- Vintage-style hard-tail Strat bridge
- Locking tuners
Having played it, we can confirm it was worth the wait. Nile thinks the body may be from a Mary Kaye Strat (which had a slightly smaller than standard body). Either way, it’s definitely a bit slimmer than the average Strat. And this one feels light and comfortable. The neck and fingerboard feel perfect.
This particular model is technically a used guitar, but it’s in almost new condition, so a total bargain at this price!
