The solid spruce back-posts with offset placement ensure superior tone balance and tuning stability by offering enhanced support for the higher tension treble section and enabling a lower tension bass section (as seen on leading higher priced upright pianos) which results in a smooth resonant bass, a dolce singing treble and powerful warm middle section.
