The contrasting U110, is a small compact piano – in black polyester with chrome fittings – that offers a contemporary styled small low profile compact design. The Collard & Collard U122 upright piano is a professional 122cm tall traditional cabinet instrument that has been designed for pianists who demand the highest standards of tone and touch. Scaling by a European designer – matched with premium components and materials – make the Collard & Collard U122 an exceptional instrument, ideal for home, teaching studios, performance venues, and discerning pianists.
The larger soundboard surface area produces a tone comparable to that of smaller grand pianos and the action is expertly designed to allow for an inspiring dynamic range. The solid spruce back-posts with offset placement ensure superior tone balance and tuning stability by offering enhanced support for the higher tension treble section and enabling a lower tension bass section (as seen on leading higher priced upright pianos) which results in a smooth resonant bass, a dolce singing treble and powerful warm middle section.
