When it comes to acoustic guitars, one of the best you can get is Gibson. Of course, nowadays they’re probably more known by electric guitarists for their Les Paul, SG ES models as well as others like the Firebird.
But they have a long proud tradition of USA-made classic acoustic models. Models such as the J45, Dove, Hummingbird, Southern Jumbo and the parlour-sized L00 are much admired and often copied.

If you’re on a tighter budget, check out the Epiphone range. Epiphone started out as a totally separate company with it’s own models, but since being bought by Gibson, it produced cheaper alternative versions of classic Gibson models.
