Eko

Founded in Italy in 1959, Eko quickly became one of the largest manufacturers of guitars in Europe – eventually producing somewhere in the region of 500,000 guitars a year – as the ‘Eko Ranger’ series became a massive seller in the 70’s with the likes of Gerry Rafferty, Jimmy Page [Led Zeppelin] and Mike Rutherford [Genesis] all using them. Sadly, Eko ceased making guitars in Italy in 1985, but by 2000, Eko launched a line of Eko’s that were made in the Czech Republic; and in 2005, Eko was fully revived with guitars designed in Italy and made in China to achieve affordable prices. Eko are still appreciated all over the world and considered by many as one of the most beautiful guitars for their original style.
