Manuel Rodriguez
Manuel Rodriguez Guitars’ journey began with Manuel Rodríguez Pérez, who in 1905, started his apprenticeship in the workshop of Agustín de Andrés. Over the years, Manuel honed his craft, working with esteemed luthiers such as Julián Gómez Ramírez and Santos Borreguero, while also handcrafting his own instruments. In 1939, the family moved to Madrid, and Manuel Rodríguez II, joined the Ramirez workshop as an apprentice, before establishing his own workshop in 1955. A relocation to Los Angeles in 1959 further expanded the reach of Rodríguez Guitars. Today, Manuel Jr. is still manufacturing in Europe and has struck the balance between efficiency and craftsmanship by making in guitars in both Reghin [Romania] and Madrid [Spain].
