Rich tonal heritage
The DSL1HR is graced with Marshall's rich tonal character, which makes the most of its all-valve complement. In the pre-amp you'll find a pair of ECC83 valves, which generate an enviable energy infused with warmth. In the power amp you'll find an ECC82 valve, which delivers the output with a generous punch.
Front panel control
The classic gold front panel control layout offers ready access to a bevy of tone shaping options. There are two channels to choose from using the Channel Select button, Classic Gain and Ultra Gain. The Classic Gain channel features a Volume pot and delivers the coveted aggression of a JCM800 amp. The Ultra-Gain channel features a Volume pot, and an additional Gain pot to really ramp up the juice, perfect for those who like to take their tones to the extreme.
Both channels benefit from the passive EQ section, with Bass/Middle/Treble controls for selectively shaping specific frequency bands. The corresponding Tone Shift button reconfigures the pre-amp mid frequencies when activated, making it perfect for metal styles, and a great addition to this high gain monster.
Rear panel connectivity
Across the rear panel you'll find a selection of connections that open up the amp. As well as the 1 x 16 Ohm speaker cabinet, you'll find an FX Loop Send and Return for connecting external FX processors. The Emulated-Out jack provides a line level output for headphones or connecting to a mixer. The emulated output has been designed using Softube-designed studio cab emulation. You can rest assured that your headphone/recording signal offers the utmost fidelity for practise or recording.
