Eko Guitars

Founded in Italy in 1959, Eko quickly became one of the largest manufacturers of guitars in Europe – eventually producing somewhere in the region of 500,000 guitars a year – as the ‘Eko Ranger’ series became a massive seller in the 70’s with the likes of Gerry Rafferty, Jimmy Page [Led Zeppelin] and Mike Rutherford [Genesis] all using them. Sadly, Eko ceased making guitars in Italy in 1985, but by 2000, Eko launched a line of Eko’s that were made in the Czech Republic; and in 2005, Eko was fully revived with guitars designed in Italy and made in China to achieve affordable prices.
