Nord are the Swedish makers of synths, stage piano and organs and are easy to spot being red.
The original Nord C1 double manual organ came out back in 2007 and was an instant hit with gigging, studio and home musicians alike.
The idea was to have Hammond, Farfisa and Vox style organ sounds playable in a 2 manual format but without having to lug several super-heavy vintage instruments around.
The Nord C2 came out 2 years later and featured several upgrades, one of which was the addition of baroque pipe organ sounds to appeal to worship bands.
In 2012, the C2D came out – the D being presumably for Drawbars, as this model featured more of them.
Now, Clavia Nord have just announced the imminent arrival of a new Nord Organ – the the Nord Organ 3.
