The Tasman range is a more recent addition to the Bridge range of instruments. It is designed to fulfil the need of string players who require the functionality of our full electric range, but who prefer a more traditional looking instrument.
The acoustic properties of the Tasman also give more volume under the ear which is preferable for some players when playing in an amplified environment.
The range includes a 4 string violin, 5 string violin, viola and cello. The violins can also be custom made as octave violins, ie sounding an octave lower, using the heavier gauge octave strings.
The Tasman is made with high quality tonewoods and traditionally constructed. The quality of the materials and build ensure a good acoustic tone and the discreet addition of the electronic components allows the string player to be heard on an equal footing with the other band members.
As a result of our traditional training all reference points, measurements for construction and set up are exact to modern orchestral specifications, making all our instruments comfortable and easy to play.
