Gretsch Guitars

Gretsch Guitars was founded in 1883 by Friedrich Gretsch and taken over by his son Fred in 1895. By 1916, Fred had moved the company into a 10-story building and was becoming one of the most prominent American musical instrument makers. Gretsch came to the fore in the 1950’s,when it made it’s most distinctive electric guitar designs such as the Country Gentlemen, Tennessean, Nashville, White Falcon, 6120, Duo Jet and many more. Gretsch have been played by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young as well as George Harrison, John Lennon, Bo Diddley, ZZ Top, Duane Eddy, Chet Atkins, Brian Setzer… and many more.
